A helicopter crash left a gathering of travelers stranded close to an Arctic base. As they attempt to discover a route back, all they are doing is sinking further into a bad dream situation. When they rest, they draw in a frightening power that drains the life out of their bodies, however the more they fight depletion and remain conscious, the more improbable they are to survive...
As the survivors endeavor to rest sufficiently only to fight off weariness without kicking the bucket, they gradually go frantic and in the end achieve the point where they can never again put stock in their faculties. In time, they can't differentiate amongst reality and a mental trip.
